Never was much of a concert goer, though I'm glad to have caught Van Halen while they briefly reunited with David Lee Roth, and Eddie was still among the living.The only act I ever went out of my way to catch was Manowar--hearing those boys in concert was a bucket list item. They just so happened to be playing in Munich while I was training down in Bavaria, and they got an otherwise usually well-behaved kid to sneak out on a "school night." I gave some consideration to ponying up for tickets to see Toto while I was attending university in Japan, but the price was a lot more than a starving college kid could justify (let alone the notion of making it two and trying to persuade my favorite sensei to join 💔). |

I’ve been to Ed Sheeran in 2022, and it was one of the most spectacular events of my life! I really want to go to a Taylor Swift concert (so original right?) or to an Ariana Grande concert. Hope I can get tickets to her tour next year!

I’ve only ever been to 1 concert which was Guns N Roses in Aarhus 2025. It was the best night of my life and I’m so sad I didn’t get to experience them in their prime lol. Anyway i wanna go to pretty much any 60s-90s rock and metal bands and hopefully Metallica will be back in Denmark soon🙏🙏

@taylored Afterthought (I do some of my best proofreading after hitting reply...). When it comes to '60s rock acts, reminded of the time I was in the vicinity of The Beach Boys playing the Del Mar fairgrounds (a bit north of San Diego, which was home for many years minus deployments). I was largely ambivalent to them; I was in attendance for the sake of my romantic interest in those days, but it occurred to me that I couldn't think of any other band that could draw a crowd ranging the spectrum from 90-year old men to six year old girls, and everyone knowing all the words and singing along. |

@imcoolasf If you're game and that Maiden cover band takes requests, challenge them to see if they can do "Total Eclipse" or maybe "Gangland." 🤘If nothing else, they should have the utmost respect that you would even be asking (a strong indication you're not just wearing the band's T-shirt for the sake of fashion). |

@imcoolasf Well, in that case, in the spirit of basic fairness, I must rescind those requests (both from the early '80s). I can't find it in my heart to take any offense if they focus on a particular era, given how long Maiden's been playing and the sheer amount of good stuff they've consistently put out over the decades (and they've chosen probably my personal favorite era for them).In light of this new information, make it "Run Silent Run Deep" and "The Prophecy." (My first night in Edinburgh, a piper was busking on the street corner, and he stopped me in my tracks when he started playing "Afraid to Shoot Strangers.") |
