Ended up a bit blindsided in a delightful way last night. The swap meet got rained out (a little rain is okay though, especially since there was nervous talk about a typhoon coming our way), but before I went home I stopped for some dinner at my favorite spicy papaya salad place (also serves the best grilled pork in Thailand), and the matronly shopkeep asked if I could display the wares to her. Well, she proceeded to summon a few more members of the family to peruse the display which was ad hoc set up on a vacant table and they helped themselves, as did a table full of out-of-towners who witnessed the proceedings. I might have to see if they'd mind if I set up shop regularly with them...Soooo, in addition to five special orders for next week, have to replace these: #116839 (Thailand has SO many baristas...) #3162 #185817 (I was so proud of the customer who recognized it as Van Gogh) #182824 #159086 ("Care Bear Stare" strikes again) #158118 #28475 #168820 #154093 [*sigh*] A craftsman's work is never done... 😎 |
