I used to make chinese staircase and candystripe bracelets at church camp. I got some string at home and made some. Then I got a crazyloom and made bracelets and action figures on that. My brother and I would watch tutorials on how to make different characters every morning we did not have school. We had an entire town of them. My freshman year of high school, I got back into making string bracelets. My sophmore year, I learned how to make alphas and got good at them my senior year. Now I'm a senior in college and make bracelets during class.

I started with a chevron tutorial that I came across on YouTube. I made 2 chevrons and I remembered this site that I’d heard of thanks to the crochet community. I made an account here and learned how to read patterns. I then made like 2 normal bracelets and jumped straight into alphas. Never looked back lol
