@Sofigarci ooh for the edges being wavy you can try the straight edges method!! It works for both alphas and normal patterns :3

when you use a color combo you like up so you can’t make any more patterns with that scheme

“Woah those are so cool! Can you make me one?” Or “teach me how to make one!” And it’s a complex alpha that took me forever to figure out 😭😭

So basically I don’t have a lot of patience, and when I show little kids my bracelets (for example a 16 string that took me a month to make) and they say “Oh please PLEASE teach me one” and it’s SO hard to say no because they are so cute, and really annoying because I always decline and they says “WHYYYY?” (Specifically one lil kid I’ll fake-name Richie who’s spoiled)

My bracelet pet peeves are when you run out of thread mid bracelet even though you did more than what the instructions told you to do. When people think they are quick and easy 😑. When the bracelet is really wide and it ends up curling up so you can’t see the pattern properly 🥲🥲

When the edges are not straight even after using the straight edge technique/ when an alpha gets wider towards the end for some reason 😭

Having so many strings to work with that at the start of the bracelet you accidentally mess up the first knots after misreading the pattern, which forces you to start over or PAINFULLY untie the knots, especially if it happens SEVERAL TIMES IN A ROW and after you already made a fancy looking bracelet beginning 😭

@feralscape If it's of any use, it finally dawned on me that a great way to keep things organized when starting is to complete row number 2 *as* we work our way to right with row number 1. That is, making the first knot of row 1, then moving on to the second, but before moving on to the third, "going back" and making that first knot of row 2 with the strings that have already been used and are getting shifted to the left. By the time we return to the left side, row number three should be waiting for us with all the threads lined up and ready to go, rather than an unmanageable tangle. 👍 |
