My condition is so severe, I used to be required to have a medical alert patch on my body armor (still got it; I'll make it my avatar for a spell).

@KrazyKnotz I also have celiac disease! So gluten, but also a mildly lactose intolerant. Mild being it’s a side effect of celiac disease, but you can get better from it? So like 😅 I drink almond milk but I can eat ice cream just fine (it’s complicated 🫠)… I also have the worst seasonal allergies (like I literally just wake up sneezing or if I go outside in the summer)

@just_mere When I eat even just tiny bit of gluten, my stomach becomes immensely painful, and it makes my arthritis flare up (all my fingers turn to red sausages) which is primary my hands... makes it hard to knot bracelets 🙈

@KrazyKnotz I feel you! It really sucks that the tiniest amount can cause a flare up. When I have one I have that immense, terrible pain in my stomach, and it makes my skin bumpy and kinda rashy? I’m hoping that in my lifetime there will be a fix for it. Scientists are already making leaps and bounds editing human genes with CRISPR, and the first alive human was cured of a dangerous genetic disease! Some companies are looking to edit wheat with CRISPR to make a hypoallergenic-type wheat thats safe for celiacs, whereas others are looking to actually edit the genes that cause celiac in humans 🙂 The science world is really at the forefront, and I’m excited!

As for my other gluten-free friends, I recently learned that Canadian Doritos are marked as gluten free!! It has to do with the difference between manufacturing/production as well as getting an actual company to certify it. My family went on a trip to Canada together and we bought sooooo many bags of Doritos. The border guard was very confused as to why we were coming into Canada just for Doritos……

My fiance has Celiacs disease but he loves the Doritos here in the US bc they don't cause him any harm. That's strange that you have to go all the way to Canada. 🤔 @just_mereMe personally, I can't have red meat like steak and hamburger. I got bit by the Lone Star tick when I was a kid. |

Im allergic to Benadryl! (Kinda ironic if I get hives from something... The "cure" just gives me more hives 😂) not an allergy, but I am extremely sensitive to lavender. My teacher put a lavender diffuser up once and and I almost threw up... 😢

I’m not allergic to anything but I refuse to eat anything with animal products in it. Same with medication. So no gel capsules for me

@i11umin I think most vegan people still do take necessary medication when there is no alternative without animal products in it available. If you do or don't take them is up to you, but nobody would judge you for it, if you would otherwise put your health at risk.
