Hey guys! I am thinking about learning the violin as one of my electives next year! I have concluded that because of you allโs opinions in the electives forum I posted a few days ago! So if you play the violin, please give me tips!How long did it take to learn a little bit and become comfortable? What age did you start learning? What do you like and not like about it? Do you think this is a good choice? |

Hi! I've been playing the violin for about 5-6 years now and I started in 4th grade. I absolutely LOVE it! In my biased opinion it's the best instrument ๐ It took me about a year or so to get comfortable holding it and about 3 years to know where to keep my hands and fingers and how to bow correctly. It does take a while but it is really worth it! The biggest thing is to put finger markers on the fingerboard (so you know where to put your fingers) and markers on the bow (so you know how far to go down and up). And one last thing, don't give up on it. It's a difficult instrument to learn but once you get the hang of it you will have so much fun! If you ever need help with anything feel free to message me!
