If you are confused on how to segment-knot a specific normal pattern, you can always knot it row by row or in diagonals instead.

Yes I could do that but I can’t see the waves in the pattern as the colours are too dark

Then add a variation with lighter colours. Adding a variation is only possible on the website, not the app.
