Hi, I’m hoping to get a pickle keychain for my coach. I’m still learning how to make alphas, so I was hoping someone could create a normal pattern that says “pickles”. Thanks!

We could have 16 strings, and with 2 colors, we’ve got a lot of combinations to explore!

There are a bunch of different normal font patterns that you can use to create your bracelet: https://www.braceletbook.com/patterns/?type=n&strings-to=16&colors-to=2&keywords=font+alphabet+letters

I would also argue that tying a 2 colour alpha with letters is the same level of complicated or less complicated than tying a 2 colour normal with letters. If you have only 2 colours in an alpha, you can use just one leading string for the background colour and for the second colour you can use the base strings. Here's a tutorial on how you would do that: https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/9_alphabet-patterns/ |

@EveryTime then I can just say the same thing to you.If you want a pattern (alpha or normal) with only letters (nothing else), you've got to combine letters from font patterns yourself because simple word patterns (patterns with just letters and no or no unique and complex decoration) are no longer accepted. |

But I don’t want to make an alpha. Not yet.

So if I could practice just a bit more on normals would be better.

I made one: #214464I included a pickle on either side to make it acceptable as simple word patterns are no longer acceptable. You can just tie the portion with just the word. |

But you can also use any of the normal font patterns here to tie just the word "pickles" from:https://www.braceletbook.com/patterns/?type=n&strings-to=16&colors-to=2&keywords=font+alphabet+letters You don't need to tie an alpha |
