hi all, i'm trying to a half and half chevron with bisexual colors on one side and trans colors on the other, so i have two dark pink, one purple, and two dark blue on one side, and two light pink, one white, and one light blue on the other. however, when i get to the end of a row, it doesn't tie neatly. is there a way to do chevrons with unequal numbers of strings, or will it just always be off? if this isn't possible, any suggestions for how i can do this bracelet? thanks!

You have 5 strings on one side and 4 strings on the other side.

The 5 strings need 10 rows to be in their original position. The 4 strings need only 8. It's normal that they aren't aligned.

You either need to have the same amount on either side or be alright with them not being aligned.

Alternatively you could add one diagonal of fb or bf knots on the side with the 4 strings to make it align with the other side.

Personally I'd just do 5 on each side.

You could try this variation that I just posted to #1898: https://www.braceletbook.com/variations/normal/449722/

I put 5 strings on either side which gives the trans flag a wider light blue stripe.

I also submitted a variation to #9147 but that is still in review. I added n additional black string on each side to separate the top and the bottom of the flags no no wider light blue stripe forms.
