Horseshoe shaped normal pattern?

I want to make a bracelet with a horseshoe pattern for my friend.
I was thinking the best way to do this and have it be immediately recognizable as a horseshoe would be to make a shaped pattern in the vein of #128493, which is designed to look like an interlocking chain.
With the horseshoe shape though, I think it would look best if the U-shaped bottom lead into the curve at the start of the next shape. Does that make any sense? I'm really bad at putting ideas into words, sorry! Think of it a line of C-shapes I guess.
I'm trying to design this on my own but am hopeless at making normal patterns. If anyone could help out it would be much appreciated!

I'm not sure, if it will work like imagined, but here is my attempt #166448

Thank you. It's not quite what I was looking for, but I will give it a go 😊

Can you describe what you want to be different? I can probably improve it.

Version with chains on both sides, if that is what you wanted #166458

Thank you again! I have yet to test these out but I will let you know how they go.
I guess I was thinking of following more of a chevron pattern? I probably should've said a V shape instead of a C shape. I almost had a similar non-shaped pattern but I've lost it.
I will still try to make both of these. 🙂

I think now I get it. I already submitted a similar pattern that is not accepted yet. It's a closed chain with an o instead of a v, but once it's accepted and I can look at it for reference, I'll also submit a v one.

@halokiwi Oh thank you so much ❤️ ❤️ This is really kind of you, I really appreciate it.
I've given my own a shot too, though without the gaps. The knot order is;
f,b,f,f,f
b,f,b,f
bf,f,f,b,fb
f,f,f,b
fb,f,f,b,bf
f,b,f,b
f,b,f,f,f
b,b,f,f

I'll submit a picture of your patterns once I've given them a shot 😊

Here is my newest attempt #166460
You do not need to test all of them
