I want to do the starburst, pattern #25054 as a keychain. How would you start it with that many strings?

When I do normal patterns as keychains I make a look and just attach that to the key ring. So for that pattern I would cut 17 double length strings and fold them in half to create the loop and then make the pattern. Basically how you would normally make a pattern but smaller and on a key ring. Hope that helps : )

What I do is make loops for bracelets with more than 16 strings, I usually just make the loop and not add the keychain. After I finish the bracelet I attach the keychain to the loop because I find it’s harder to hold down the bracelet with the keychain.

With a thick bracelet such as the starburst, I would save string to make twisted ties, with either one or two ties on each end.
