I dont know how to describe this but looking at the picture of the person that made pattern #37594, how do I secure the stick so that I can work on the pattern. Not the strings to the stick but the stick to another surface. Hope this makes senseThanks in advance |

I put a piece of tape on either end of the stick once I have my strings on and then tape horizontally across both really close to the stick and find that anchors well.

I would duct tape the two ends of the stick to make sure it's really secure (I tape mine to a metal clipboard to avoid peeling paint off of a table or something).

if you have safety pins and a pillow, its easy to pin the stick to the pillow and allows for easy readjustment
