Can you alpha base threads be thicker or thinner than your working threads? If so which would you say gives a better finish? Thanks |

i would use the same thickness if possible, but not thinner. i haven’t made many alphas but i always see other people use crochet threads and slightly bigger threads for their base strings and they always turn out well. hope this helps! 😊

As long as all the base strings are the same thickness.

Thanks for the replies. I can now attempt a larger alpha pattern. I have lots of slightly thinner and thicker cotton in just two colours that i can use for the base threads. |

what do you do if your alpha base string snapped very close to the bracelet and you have no loops to tie the new one on to?
