You are not above! I am CONSTANTLY having this issue with my long hair! I usually just try to pull it out. If the hair breaks and part of it stays inside the bracelet I just accept it.

For me I just try to be really vigilant lol. If you have really light coloured hair it's probably harder to catch the hair before you knot it in, but maybe as you start a new row/segment you can try running your hand over just to feel for hair and see if you can brush it away perhaps?
