I’ve always taped my bracelets to a table and it works just fine. Now that it’s summer I want to be able to knot on the go so I’ve started using a clipboard instead. I’ll sit on the ground with my legs bent in front of me and hold the clipboard between my thighs. Problem is it digs into my skin and several hours after knotting you can still see the marks from it. It hurtssss!! Anyone got any tips on how to use a clipboard more comfortably? |

when i use my clipboard, i sit on my couch sideways and lean it against one of the arms, with one of my legs folded up to hold it in place. you could probably do the same with any upright thing you can sit next to, but sitting on the floor for a long time with my legs folded up tends to cut off my circulation. I generally prefer using my water bottle because it's more portable, I tend to reserve my clipboard for making patterns that i don't have memorized and need to do with a screen in front of me (my computer sits on the top of the arm of my couch).

You could try using a safety pin instead, that’s what I’ve always done. I find it more portable than a clipboard since you can just bundle up the string and put it in your pocket or purse.
