Help with Alpha wallhanging endings?

Hey there!I just recently finished a wallhanging, and I finished it by grouping the base strings together and using scrap string to tie square knots around them. It looks great, but I can’t seem to get the scrap stings to lay flat with the base strings? If that makes sense? In photos that other users have posted, the scrap strings are sort of together with the base string bundles, but on my wallhanging the scrap strings are sticking out to the side, and I can’t get them to lay flat. In one of Masha Knot’s videos, (I don’t remember which one) she says to wet the bundles and smooth them down so all the strings lay together, but I tried that and it didn’t work for me. Any suggestions? |

if you put a tiny dab of glue on the sides of the square knots and press the scrap strings to them so they stick on the knot, it should keep them in line with the rest of the strings. they would be only glued at the top by the knot, and would hang freely with the rest of the excess base strings
