How should I keep the strings separated?

There's two part to this question.. 1)How should i keep my strings separated when doing a pattern with 16 or more strings? 2)Since the strings have to be long, how do i make it easier to manage the strings? I tried using clothes pins to fold some of the string in but that doesn't work so well. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you ๐

Take a piece of cardboard to make a clip board. Use a clip to keep your bracelet in place. At the bottom cut little slits so you can put the thread there. It really helps with bigger bracelets.

I just wrap my string up in a ball and slowly unravel as needed
