Hi guys! I feel like I am losing motivation to make bracelets because I knot slow. A simple chevron takes a week for me to make. Any advice on how to speed up or stay motivated? I usually knot normals, but I have to go row by row. Segment knotting doesn’t make sense to me, only if it’s a candy stripe or a chevron. Getting the bracelet to 6 inches takes forever. Thanks, Meg |

My advice to you is to keep going! I know it doesn't sound very helpful, but everyone knots at their own pace, as you get more and more used to doing the knots your process will automatically get faster. ❤️

Segment knotting is a really valuable technique to learn! Try following video tutorials for bracelets. These will use segment knotting, and eventually you will start to see a pattern! Good luck!

I’m in a very similar situation, and I use segment knotting. It’s very helpful, it helps with muscle memory and gives a small sense of achievement when you finish a section. Hope that helps!

Practice makes perfect. If you give up you will never get better.

I’d say just get really familiar with the way that you hold the string, and see if there is a way you can make your knotting more of a fluid motion, the more I have done this the faster my knotting has been.
