@UPDATE I recently got inspired by BraceletBook's pinterest pin where all things you need to knot are there, I got inspired by the safety needle and use it now and knot now while I chill on my brother's bed (we have an bunk bed) and hear lofi music or my playlist. But I lost my needle so I do the "tape version" (I tape my bracelet on my leg and put an smaller tape on the end so it isn't bothering me).

I use a clipboard, but most of the time I just hold it with my middle and ring finger on my left hand, then use my pointer and thumb for helping with knots along with my right hand. Not the best way of doing it 😅 but it’s more convenient sometimes

it depends honestly, where i am and what i’m doing. usually i tape my WIP on a heavy hardcover book. that way it doesn’t fly at me when i pull the strings too hard, lol

I use a pillow and pins! I find it far comfier than a clipboard. I either weave the pin into my teardrop start or stab it into my knot start, depends what method I'm using.

For alphas I tape them down to a table because I find that when I tape down alphas as I go they turn out straighter for me (this isn’t a solution for all but it’s what works for me!) for normals I make the loop/start taped down then I move to a pillow and pin the bracelet to the pillow :3

It's a little late, but I use a long wood stick I have, or a saftey pin with the top in a slip knot. To stop it from sliding I just put beads on the pin with the bracelet loop.

Idk if that's unusual but I don't use anything just my fingers to hold the bracelet. Tho I only braid the ends of my bracelets and don't do these loops and I only do normal patterns
