How to make metallic thread easier to use

Metallic thread can be annoying to work with because the strands often separate. I find that if I add glue or clear nail polish to the tips/ends of metallic thread it keeps the thread from separating.

What also works is making a knot at the end of the string to prevent it from seperating.

To add on from what @KikiLilou said you could also make a small knot at the start of the thread aswell as the end. Which makes it even more easier for me. 🙂
