What are some your favorite places to buy thread? I usually just run to Micheals or Joanns, but wanted to know if they're any other places or sites for quality thread 🙂

I go to a local yarn store that sells DMC floss, and then I have some from a place called Fabric Land. So you can check local yarn or fabric stores nearby too if you happen to want to buy thread individually. If prefer buying in bulk then I’d say Amazon.

I go to Hobby Lobby, Joann, and Amazon. 🙂Michaels is way more expensive for DMC than these other stores where I live for some reason. |

My only options for getting thread in person is Hobby Lobby and Michaels. I try not to go to Hobby Lobby as much since I do not want to support their business due to their morals/ethics. Before Joanne's went out of business (and Michaels took over their sewing stuff) this was my only option for getting DMC thread. Whenever I travel I try to look for local craft shops as well.

I haven’t been to Michaels in a while( I think it’s been like 4-5 yrs) although the closest Michaels is 45 minutes.

@MidnightTH Michaels has definitely stepped up their game when it comes to thread within the last year or so. I think they took it over from Joanne's since they shut down. The one that I go to has the same selection as Hobby Lobby as well as the DMC brand needles, floss kits, and accessories for cross stitch. |
