straight edges on normal patterns

So I tried to do the straight edge technique on normal patterns, where I add an extra string to the sides and do fb/bf knots on them, but the edges are still very wonky. Any tips? Thanks!

Sometimes knotting row-by-row instead of segment-knotting can help.If you want to stick with segment-knotting, I recommend to find a way how you can secure your bracelet while tying so it can't move around a lot. If it can move around a lot, it's a lot harder to get it straight. |
