I think usually you just make the knots the pattern calls for and leave gaps where the pattern doesn't call for knots. Make sure, you don't pull your knots too tight. In the end, the effect will be visible in the back.Every pattern is different, so if you want to make a specific pattern, you can always ask the creator of that pattern ๐ |
