Straight edge alpha struggles

I'm really struggling with keeping the edges of my alphas straight, as you can see here:https://www.braceletbook.com/patterns/alpha/137778/ I do the straight alpha technique and all of my strings are the same brand (DMC) Any tips on how to actually keep the edges straight instead of wonky like mine is lol? Thanks in advance ๐ |

I think for you it probably comes down to practice, because your knotting looks very good and consistent ๐

your knotting is really good, its really straight and aligned. what you could do to maybe try and straighten your edged is when reaching the end of the row, don't pull the base string to the side but rather keep it straight as you knot onto it. because that the knots at the end of the row are fb/bf you just have to keep your string straight as they are more fiddley to work with. maybe even try pushing them with your fingers to better align together. hope this helps! |
