If you're looking for DMC, I've been getting mine at Hobby Lobby lately. I just watch their weekly sales. At the last sale I got each skein for only $0.25 each! Even without the sales, they're $0.53 each. Joann's has sales too. Their President's Day sale had skeins at $0.45 each.
