How do I make the edges of my alphas straight?

I've looked through YouTube and various websites to find out how people do it, but I really can't find any tips on how to keep alpha edges straight. They're not so bad, but I see pictures on here of alphas with really straight edges, and it looks like they used a different knotting style or something, but I can't figure out what. Help? 🤔

Use backward-forward and forward-backward knots on the edges. That’s the most common technique I’ve seen used for straight edges on alphas. Basically just bf on the left side and fb on the right where you would normally just have forward knots/backward knots to bring the strings inside so you don’t have those bumps on the edges
