Right now I'm making a braided stitch bracelet using the straight edges technique and it's not coming out very well. when I start a new row, (after the hidden string.) the string i'm knotting onto seems far and makes sort of a gap. Correct me if i'm doing the technique wrong. (sorry if this doesn't make sense!) 🤔

you can always push your knot with your fingernail up so it fits more snuggly to the bracelet, or try to knot your first knot really tight before your second knot. the starts of bracelets are kinda always wonky but the more row you do the more it holds it shape

the first part of your knot determines the placement and how tight it is, while the second part secures the knot. you’ll want to tie the knot tightly and close to the row before it. always try to tie your knots the same so your bracelet looks uniform 🎠💌🎡🍓
