Helllllo! I’ve been wanting to make a big alpha as a wall hanging and I was curious how long and wide big alphas tend to be. So say an alpha that is 50x50 or 60x60 strings, how long would that be in inches? Thanks!

I couldn’t really give you a solid answer, but alphas generally turn out way smaller than you think, I did a 28 string ant it fits in the palm of my hand. hope that helps 🙂

I just finished a 24 string, and it's not really that big. Also, the thickness can depend on your knots. If you knot tighter, then the alpha will be smaller, but if you knot loosely, your alpha will be a little bigger. Hope this helps!

I do know that 80 ish rows is around 5 ish inches so this would be like a little less

Well it depends on the thread and how tight you pull the knots

So a normal bracelet of about 150-200 knots is roughly 12cm

So in inches that is roughly 4.7 inches

kind of depends how you knot, you could try measuring the width of a ten string alpha you made and then a ten row one and multiply them by different numbers until it’s a good size maybe?
