Why doesn't alpha let you use black when creating a pattern?

I think my title is pretty self-explanatory, but I'm trying to make a black and white pattern and it honestly looks the best in black and white. I'm just wondering out of pure curiosity why it isn't approved to submit since there are other bracelets that use black. I would submit it in another color but it's really ugly like that and I'm a little sad.

The darkest color accepted is 333333. This is so that the grid in the pattern preview is still clearly visible. Other patterns don’t use pure black, they use a dark grey. Hope that helps!

333333 is the darkest black we accept. We do not accept super dark colors because it makes it hard to read the pattern and difficult to see the individual knots.
