string order, what string goes where

when i find a pattern i like and want to change the colors how do i know what color goes where? pretend example if i wanted to make #2048 rainbow you cant line the strings up red,orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, the color order wouldn't be right. this is just a quick basic example, does it make sense? even when i try to use the variation tool my colors get out of whack

If you go to the website braceletbook.com you will be able to see and add variations. You can't do that on the app. Variations are the same pattern but with different colours. It can help you figure out which order your strings need to have.You can also just look at the pattern and imagine the colours you see there are different colours. For example the colour x in the pattern is my colour y. |
