When I started out designing patterns, I often first drew them on graph paper to figure out which string needs to move where and which knots I need to make. Sometimes I still do that, when I'm not on my computer.When I started designing patterns, the interactive normal generator did not exist yet. I think the interactive generator is much easier to work with than the other part of the normal pattern generator. I recommend playing around with the interactive generator a little. It will help you understand the generator better and also help you understand how normal patterns work structurally. |
