When you are making a variation for an alpha pattern, is there a way to change the color order and/or combine two colors into one?

No, this is not possible. You can't add or remove colours, you can only change the existing colours. Merging colours in alpha variations is not allowed because it makes the colour count incorrect.

What I normally do if I want to do this I get a color really close t the color I want to merge but not to similar because it will get declined....like one of the flower variations I did the original pattern was the flowers from Rapunzel's hair and her braid was outlined if that makes sense with a darker color then the rest of her hair but I just wanted the flowers and not the hair so I did her hair white and the outline like a really light beige kind of color the variation/pattern is #55490 if u wanna check it out because it will probably make more sense if you actually see it.
