I am making an alpha on a stick (I think it is called a dowel) and the larks head knots are falling out. Help?

are you sure youโre doing the larks head knots correctly? to do a larks head knot pinch a loop at the midpoint of you string and place it against the dowel. then you take the two ends of the string and put them through the loop. also, once you start actually knotting the pattern, the larks head knots will be more secure. hope that helps! ๐
