Hey everyone,

Being totally new to alpha patterns, I found a bead loom crazy cheap yesterday at the thrift store and I’m wondering if I could use that.
Has anyone tried to use a (bead) loom for alpha patterns, how did that work for you?

Thank you in advance!

You can definitely use a bead loom to make beaded bracelets from an alpha pattern. You could probably also use the bead loom to hold down your base strings for a knotted alpha but holding the base strings down on both ends is generally not needed and might actually make tying more uncomfortable because this way you would have to always move the leading strings around the base strings for every knot and the leading strings can be quite long.

@halokiwi Thank you so much for your reply! That actually makes total sense, good to know! I might give it a try then, to see how it actually works out.
