alpha keeps curling

hello people! i’m currently working on an alpha with a loop start and it keeps curling. is there any way i can fix it? am i doing something wrong? please help!

i only get that problem with the candy stripe but it doesn't necessarily mean you're doing something wrong, it could be that the specific angle or direction you did the knots affected or even it could be another thing. What I usually do so it doesn't curve is slowly grind it against something with an edge so it gets straight(not sure if im explaining it right, sorry if its hard to understand) and then I slightly stretch it and tug at the sides. 👍

Did you try the flatback technique? I recently made a alpha with that technique and it did not curl.

I have been trying to improve my alpha knots, and found that my tension is really tight. I've remade some due to curling. If your knot tension isn't tight, check the back to see if you're pulling colors from one side to the other (if not using not flat back technique). Lastly, I accidently got too thin of base string a while back and found it makes the pattern lumpy/uneven. Wishing you luck!
