I know this was a while ago, but still wanted to reply! When I started alphas, the biggest thing was figuring out where to put the other color(s) [as in over or under]. Here are a few things that would’ve kept me from getting discouraged as quickly:pick a pattern with an even number of base strings it is worth it to invest in a few metal loops, before trying flat starts, and embroidery floss backs lol idk what it’s called! lastly, just focus on your knots. it is more simple than it seem, but only after you understand the knots should you try weaving the ends in smoothly and making the back pretty. you’ve got this 🔥 |
