What to do with scrap thread?

I’ve just discovered LOADS of scrap thread and have made some rag rug bracelets but I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas of things to do with them? ❤️ ❤️ (Also, if anyone sees this in the ‘other’ section of the forum as well it is because I posted it there and then realised it probably fit better here 😂)

What I personally do with scrap thread is that I save them up to be used in alphas, especially when there are only a couple knots of that color! Another thing is that since I crochet I tie them all together and use it as yarn for scrap blankets and other projects : D

rag rug bracelet, or you can actually use it as base strings for alphas depending on the size of the alpha

Something I like to do is combine my scraps! Embroidery floss has six strands. I like to take two or more colours and separate the threads (for two colours it would be two piles of three strands), and then mix the colours together. So instead of having half a meter of two separate colours, you'd have a meter of one colour (that colour being a mix of the two). That way you can use it for larger areas as well : D. I personally really like the look of it ^^. I used this technique on the background of #59779, and on the shells of #146485 if you want to see some examples 😊
