Hi!I’ve been making bracelets for several years now and consider myself pretty advanced. One problem I continuously seem to have is when I tie a FB knot (mostly when doing loops for normal bracelets) I get a weird bump because my tension seems to be tighter on the second half when tying. However even when I try pulling the first bit tighter and the second looser the bump appears in the same place. Does anyone have experience with this and know how to fix it? Thanks!! |

What do you mean by bump? Could you direct me to a photo which has one?

Hi @KuteKat! I think I understand what you mean. When using the straight edge in alphas, you use FB and BF knots on the edges, there is naturally a bit of a bump. You can see that in my photo of #103885 and the most recent photo of #116874 by nessanic_. You can see that the knots on the edges are a different “texture” creating a bit of a bump.

Regarding the loop, you can see in the most recent photo of #28009 by artsy_jen that there is a natural bump again on the outer part of the loop which happens where doing FB and BF knots. It is just how the knots are formed which creates a bump. Hopefully this answers your question!
