for those of you familiar with the teardrop loop start for normal patterns ( video tutorial by mashaknots: https://youtu.be/dPcpD-i2D0U?si=Un2v5I_KAYIj8a13 ) when finishing the teardrop loop your strings will be symmetrical to one another or ready for a chevron style bracelet. I want to do pattern #203917 (created by @KrazyKnotz) but it has a candy stripe start. How would I go about doing the same teardrop start?I'm guessing it'll be something similar to how Masha adds an odd string in her video tutorial https://youtu.be/_IyGiKsjNJM?si=5VQJKLykOltqBdJh But I was wondering if there was a more simple solution to my problem! Thank you! any help is greatly appreciated! |

You're on the right trackFor that pattern you don't even need to split strings since you have two of each colour. You just need to fold the strings and have the strings for the left side linked with the strings for the right side. I don't think there's an easier solution for this scenario. If you do have just one string of a colour in the pattern, I know that some people don't split the strings. Instead they put the end of the single string inside the loop. It won't come undone once you started tying with that string. |

that's kinds what I was thinking too, the only thing is I'd probably have to do a half & half color for the top of the loop

Yeah, that's true, but I think it can look cool. You could make a gradient loop with all the colours.
