So I’ve been making bracelets for a while now and while the shape of my patterns has drastically improved, my normal patterns are still curved. I’ve seen some videos on the straight edge technique, but what if it’s not built into the pattern? Also how can I create a straight normal bracelet without it? Thank you!!

You can always include the straight edges technique by adding an extra string on the left and the right and making bf knots onto it on the left and fb on the right. Some normal patterns like the candystripe Trend to chevron because most or all knots go in one direction. When tying you can try to not pull as much to the side. You can also try to tie row by row instead of in segments. |

I tried the extra strings technique on pattern #191916 (sry don't know how to include a link) and on the left side my edges were pretty ok, but the right side was super curved and parts of the extra strings were showing through. Is there a different trick I could use? pls help. (Note: I used the tutorial by Masha Knots on straight edges, and that might help for anyone who doesn't have my mushy brain 😅)

@CatLover41 to me it sounds like you might just need to practice your fb knots

@halokiwi That would explain it 🤔 I'll try to focus more on fb knots in the future. Thanks a lot for the help!
