Are normal patterns or alpha patterns easier for you?

Ive seen lots of different people have a different opinion on which is easier to make. Some say alpha and some say normal patterns. For me, alphas are easier to make, than normal patterns, but alphas take longer 😭

In alpha patterns it depends how many color changes it has, in normal patterns it depends how thick it is, tbh I don't prefer something because it depends on wha I want to do, I don't find each type easier/harder

i can make normals, but i much prefer alphas, also i'm really really bad at making normals and honestly i find alphas easier

Normals for me. I just don't like doing the colour switches in alphas. I feel like alphas are more difficult to make look nice.

@halokiwi that’s true, you have to be very careful in alphas and keep your knot tension consistent. Mistakes are much easier to hide in normal patterns as well!!

Normals all the way <3 I personally just can’t get alphas to look nice and my strings always get tangled lol

I think normals are easier because there is always multiple ways to segment knot them and also you don't have to look at the pattern as much since they repeat. I hate having to look at the rows all the time in alphas but they're so pretty so it's worth it 😍
