How do you keep your rows straight?

I just got back into making bracelets after a couple of months, but I still have this issue of my rows in my alpha patterns becoming more rounded as the pattern goes on. How do you combat that? Thanks!

Are you using the straight edges technique? If yes, are you making both bf/fb knots or are you forgetting one?

Oh, my edges are straight, its the horizontal parts that keep bulging out. I tried using tighter knots but its not working.

Have you tried pushing your knots up/together with a ruler? Personally this can be very helpful, when trying to keep my rows straight.
