Accidently cut a base string in my alpha bracelet

I'm in the middle of making an alpha bracelet and when cutting of the excess of one of the colors idk I got distracted and cut off one of the base strings by accident.guys help how do i fix /replace the base string that is now way too short |

Whenever one of my base strings break i tape string behind the whole pattern and continue knotting with the new base string in place , usually the strings in the pattern hold it together

(And taping any of the excess short string back, just so it doesn’t get in the way)

You can also turn your leading string into a base string and add a new leading string, depending on the string and how you knot it won’t be very visible. I’ve totally done that by mistake a few times.
