Sideways pattern view

Hey everyone! Just looking for some tips on how everyone else is working with patterns that are displayed sideways, like #191330 for example. Do you just follow the grid view at the top? I prefer the knots view because it's numbered and easier to keep track of, but not sure what to do with it when it's like this. Maybe take a screenshot, rotate it, and number the rows myself? Just curious how everyone else is doing it, thanks!

I’ve never done a pattern like that before, but if I did come across one I wanted to make, I would probably take a screenshot, flip it, and number the new rows myself :3
