How do I fix broken string on a normal bracelet?

My string snapped when I was almost done with my bracelet and I really don't want to waste it!!! Does anyone know how to fix it? I was doing a forward knot with green string onto magenta string, and the magenta (the string I was doing the knot onto) snapped. Help!! ๐ญ

Also, I did watch Masha's video on the topic. Masha's really great and super helpful to me, but this is probably the only one of her vids that didn't make sense to me.

You fold whatever is left of your snapped string behind the bracelet. Then you take a new string of that colour and tape it down on your working surface so it's in the place where your snapped string was. Then you carefully continue knotting as if the new string was your old string.
