Hi,

have you ever done a Bookmark instead of bracelets?
How did you start and end it?

Not an Alpha, a regular bracelet

I think lots of people have done alpha bookmarks, but I haven't really seen many normal bookmarks yet.

Personally I'd pick a pattern that is a little wider (twenty strings or more) and do a small loop and two triangle ends in the beginning. In the end I'd just do one triangle end and just leave a bit of the left-over strings as a tassel. Maybe I'd do some twisted ties with tassels on both ends that I would but through the loop in the beginning so these ties could hang out of the book.

I think you can get really creative with what you do, when making a bookmark. You don't have to follow a certain structure.

i would start it with a loop (so you can attach a tassel to it if you want) and then once finished with the bookmark i would probably end with a triangle end. another possibility is starting with straight a row, and then once finished ending in a straight row. then you could tie knots at the end or a macrame finish. it really is up to you and your creativity!
