Any alpha color switching tips?

Ive been doing bracelets for 2years and istg whatever I do when I do a color switching knot it ALWAYS look different than other ones. Usually itโs thinner and I swear Iโve tried everything and itโs still the same problem

I would recommend using the flat alpha technique but if you are already it could be because you strings are of different thicknesses
