Hey! I wonder how some of you do type of messy colorful backgroud that look kind of like sweaters in alpha bralecelts while the original pattern has a basic plane background but I can't find a tutorial anywhere :/

do you have an example ? What i'm thinking is to use "scrap threads" to make the background, so you use a small string of various colours and you change your leading string every time you run our of it, a bit like cassh picture on pattern #151680 ! (it's the first picture i saw)
