I am half way through making a bracelet and the background string broke. I don't want to start over but I am not sure what to do.

Is it a normal, or alpha pattern? With an alpha pattern it's easy, just bring in a new string but from the way you say it, it sounds like normal. Maybe try tucking it in with a clipboard and supporting the string that way.

When my string breaks or gets to short I always just tie more onto the end of it and then theres just a tiny knot at the back of the bracelet after I get past that part in the string!

I just glue a new string to the back of the bracelet and use it instead of the old one, while bringing the old one to the back so it's secured. Works perfectly!
