How do I make my alpha knots straight?

Try to secure your bracelet really well to your knotting surface and push up after every row. I just use my nails, but you could use a ruler or some other kind of straight edge

Almost all Alpha knots will tend to have some sort of a slantishness to them. To help though as well as what has been mentioned already, you could also try (when making the knots), holding the strings straight down, and straight up. So the base string, straight down and the leading streading straight up. Think of it like a clock, and position the strings in the 12 and 6 positions when making the knots.

I usually tape my tape down and just follow the edge of the tape
